Hernandez, Mariners stifle Padres

Felix Hernandez pitched a complete-game, two-hit shutout to earn the win, as the Seattle Mariners blanked the San Diego Padres 5-0 on Tuesday night.

Seattle won as -150 road favorites as the game played UNDER the 7-run total set by oddsmakers.

Ken Griffey Jr. knocked in a pair of runs for the Mariners, who got solo dingers from Adrian Beltre and Franklin Gutierrez in the payday.

Kevin Correia took the loss despite allowing only two runs over eight innings for San Diego, which went 0-for-4 with runners in scoring position on the night.
