Padres rally past Dodgers for split

The San Diego Padres scored three runs in the eighth inning to come back and defeat the Los Angeles Dodgers 4-3 Thursday to earn a split of the four-game series at Petco Park.

San Diego won the game as +140 underdogs, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8).

David Eckstein went 2-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the Padres. Cla Meredith got the win in relief, and Heath Bell posted his second save of the season.

Matt Kemp had two hits and drove in two runs for the Dodgers. Cory Wade surrendered two runs off three hits in relief to suffer the loss.
