Jeff Baker belted a two-run homer in the ninth inning to lift the Chicago Cubs past the San Francisco Giants 3-2 in the series-opener Thursday night.

Chicago won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the five runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8).

Aaron Heilman collected the win in relief, and Carlos Marmol secured the victory with his 15th save.

John Bowker homered and drove in a pair of runs for the Giants. Brian Wilson allowed two runs and suffered the loss in relief.
