Wilson, Pirates surprise Cardinals
Jack Wilson's three-run double in the top of the ninth inning lifted the Pittsburgh Pirates past the St. Louis Cardinals 6-4 on Monday.
Pittsburgh cashed as +175 road underdogs as the teams played over the 8-run total set by oddsmakers.
Nyjer Morgan went 3-for-5 with two runs batted in for the Pirates, while John Grabow picked up the win in relief of starter Paul Maholm for Pittsburgh.
Ryan Ludwick was 2-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs for St. Louis, as Jason Motte was hit with the loss after surrendering four runs in the ninth inning for the Cardinals.
