Mariners fend off Angels
The Seattle Mariners gave up two runs in the ninth inning, but managed to sneak out a 9-8 victory over the LA Angels Saturday night.
Seattle won the game as +115 underdogs, while the 17 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (9.5).
Russell Branyan went 3-for-5 at the plate, including a grand slam for the Mariners. Carlos Silva threw five innings for the win, allowing six hits and three runs.
Howie Kendrick went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored for the Angels. Anthony Ortega gave up five runs off five hits over five innings in the loss.
