Mariners stop O’s in rubber match
Russell Branyan drove in three runs to help the Seattle Mariners defeat the Baltimore Orioles 6-3 Thursday night in the series rubber match at Camden Yards.
Baltimore won the game as -165 favorites, while the nine runs went as a PUSH against the posted over/under (9).
Andre Beltre had three hits and drove in one run, while scoring another for the Mariners. Garrett Olson went five innings on the mound to earn the win, and David Aardsma turned away the side in the ninth for his 11th save.
Luke Scott belted a two-run homer in a losing effort for the Orioles. Koji Uehara suffered the loss after giving up four runs off seven hits in five innings of work.
