Indians edge Orioles in opener

Andy Marte belted a two-out game-winning home run in the ninth inning as the Cleveland Indians snuck past the Baltimore Orioles 5-4 Thursday night in the opener of a four-game series at Camden Yards.

Cleveland won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the nine runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).

Grady Sizemore went 3-for-5 at the plate with a solo home run and two RBIs for the Indians. Rafael Perez earned the win in relief, and Kerry Wood closed out the ninth with his 17th save.

Melvin Mora went 3-for-4 at the plate with on RBI and two runs scored for the Orioles. Jim Johnson gave up two runs in relief and was tagged with the loss.
