Yankees tear apart Red Sox
The New York Yankees banged out 23 hits as they ripped apart the Boston Red Sox 20-11 Friday night at Fenway Park.
New York won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the combined score sailed OVER the posted over/under (10.5).
Hideki Matsui hit two three-run home runs and finished with seven runs batted in for the Yankees. Andy Pettitte improved to 10-6 with the win, allowing seven hits and seven runs over five innings.
Mike Lowell went 3-for-5 at the plate and hit a two-run homer for the Red Sox. Brad Penny gave up 10 hits and eight runs over four innings in the loss.
