Floyd tosses gem; ChiSox blank Pirates
Gavin Floyd allowed just two hits over eight scoreless innings, as the Chicago White Sox shut out the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-0 Friday night in the opener of a three-game Inter-league series at U.S. Cellular Field.

Alexei Ramirez blasted a solo home run, while finishing with two hits and two runs scored. Bobby Jenks turned away the side in the ninth to post his 10th save.
