Long ball lifts A’s

Three different players homered as the Oakland A’s got past the Chicago White Sox 5-3 Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

The A’s won the game as +125 underdogs, but the eight runs went UNDER the posted over/under (8.5).

Landon Powell went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and two RBIs to lead the A’s. Josh Outman went 6 2-3 innings for the win, and Andrew Bailey notched his third save.

Jermaine Dye went deep for a two-run blast for the White Sox. Clayton Richard suffered the loss, giving up seven hits and five runs over 5 1-3 innings.
