White Sox trim A’s in marathon
A.J. Pierzynski drove in the winning run in the 13th inning to lift the Chicago White Sox to a 4-3 win over the Oakland A’s Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
Chicago won the game as -140 favorites, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Scott Podsednik went 4-for-7 and drove in one run for the White Sox. Octavio Dotel tossed three scoreless innings of relief for the victory.
Scott Hairston went 2-for-5 at the plate with one RBI for the A’s. Edgar Gonzalez surrendered the winning run and suffered the loss.
