Twins outlast White Sox; sweep series

The Minnesota Twins completed a three-game sweep of the Chicago White Sox with a 8-6 victory Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.

Minnesota won the game as +110 underdogs, while the 14 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8).

Nick Punto had two hits and drove in three runs to lead the Twins. Brian Duensing improved to 5-1 with the win, and Joe Nathan collected his 44th save.

Jermaine Dye belted a pair of two-run homers in a losing effort for the White Sox. Mark Buehrle gave up five runs over 3 1-3 innings of work.
