Left fielder Jason Kubel hit a two-run home run to right field to put the Twins ahead. Starter Scott Baker went seven innings, giving up one run on five hits while striking out three batters.
The White Sox scored on a double from Mark Teahen that scored A.J. Pierzynski in the fifth inning. Pitcher Freddy Garcia went seven innings, allowing two runs on just three hits while sitting down four batters.
