Twins split with Tigers
The Minnesota Twins earned a split of their four-game series by defeating the Detroit Tigers 8-3 Thursday afternoon at Comerica Park.
Minnesota won the game as -120 favorites, and the 11 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Orlando Cabrera drove in three runs to lead the Twins, and Joe Mauer drove in a pair of runs. Scott Baker pitched five innings for the win, allowing five hits and one run.
Gerald Laird went 2-for-4 at the plate with one RBI and one run scored. Nate Robertson gave up nine hits and four runs over six innings in the loss.
