White Sox edge Tigers in extra innings

A.J. Pierzynski's run-scoring single in the top of the 10th inning lifted the Chicago White Sox past the Detroit Tigers 5-4 on Monday.

Chicago won as +115 road underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 7.5-run total posted by oddsmakers.

Pierzynski finished 2-for-5 with three runs batted in for the White Sox, as Chris Sale got the win for Chicago in relief of Edwin Jackson.

Don Kelly went 2-for-3 with a two-run dinger and three RBIs for Detroit, while Jose Valverde took the loss for the Tigers after allowing Pierzynski's single in the 10th.
