Indians avoid sweep by Royals
The Cleveland Indians rallied for three runs in the seventh inning and defeated the Kansas City Royals 5-4 Wednesday afternoon to avoid a three-game sweep at Kauffman Stadium.
Cleveland won the game as -130 favorites, but the nine runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (9.5).
Travis Hafner went 2-for-3 at the plate with one RBI for the Indians, and Jensen Lewis earned the win in relief.
Mike Jacobs cracked a solo home run for the Royals, while Kyle Farnsworth gave up three runs in less than an inning of relief to suffer the loss.
