Big inning propels Twins
The Minnesota Twins scored all their runs in a five-run fifth inning in a 5-2 victory over the Boston Red Sox Tuesday night at the Metrodome.
Minnesota won the game as a -105 pick’em, while the seven runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Justin Morneau hit a three-run homer to power the Twins. Nick Blackburn tossed seven innings for the win, allowing eight hits and two runs.
Dustin Pedroia had two hits and drove in one run to lead the Red Sox. Jon Lester gave up five runs off six hits over six innings in a losing effort.
