Tigers stop Twins in marathon

Gerald Laird drove in two runs and scored twice for the Tigers. Freddy Dolsi tossed 2 1-3 innings to earn the victory.
Denard Span had five hits and drove in two runs for the Twins. R.A. Dickey gave up four runs in three innings of work in the loss.
