Twins hold off White Sox
The Minnesota Twins scored four runs in the first inning and held on for a 6-4 win over the Chicago White Sox Friday night at the Metrodome.
Minnesota won the game as -135 favorites, and the 10 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (8.5).
Jason Kubel went 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs for the Twins. Nick Blackburn went seven innings to pick up the win, and Joe Nathan notched his 23rd save.
Chris Getz drove in a pair of runs in a losing effort for the White Sox. Octavio Dotel gave up the winning run in relief.
