Royals sneak past Twins
The Kansas City Royals clinched their three-game set with Minnesota Thursday, as they slipped past the Twins 5-4 in the rubber match at the Metrodome.
Kansas City won the game as +160 underdogs, while the nine runs went as a PUSH against the posted over/under (9).
Willie Bloomquist led the Royals with two RBIs, and Alex Gordon went deep. Gil Meche tossed five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs in the victory.
Joe Mauer hit a three-run homer and drove in all four runs for the Twins. Carl Pavano surrendered five hits and five runs over seven innings in the loss.
