Franklin Gutierrez smacked a game-winning home run in the eighth inning as the Seattle Mariners snuck past the San Diego Padres 4-3 Wednesday night to even the three-game series at Safeco Field.

Seattle won this game as a -150 favorite, while the seven runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).

Russell Branyan led the Mariners with a three-run blast. Sean White earned the win in relief, and David Aardsma collected his 15th save.

Kevin Kouzmanoff went deep for a two-run dinger for the Padres. Edward Mujica surrendered the winning run and was saddled with the loss.
