Matt Garza combined on a one-hit shutout and the Tampa Bay Rays banged out 18 hits Thursday, as they tore apart the Boston Red Sox 13-0 in the opener of a four-game series at Tropicana Field.

Tampa Bay won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the 13 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).

Evan Longoria homered and drove in four runs to lead the charge for the Rays. Garza whiffed 10 batters and improved to 2-2 on the season.

Josh Beckett allowed 10 hits and seven runs over 4 2-3 innings in the loss.
