Pat Burrell went 2-for-4 at the plate with a solo home run for the Rays. J.P. Howell improved to 7-4 with the victory, and Dan Wheeler earned his second win in relief.

Kevin Youkilis had two hits and scored twice for the Red Sox. Ramon Ramirez gave up two runs in relief and suffered the loss.
