Marlins fend off Blue Jays

The Florida Marlins stopped a ninth-inning rally to defeat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5 Saturday afternoon at Rogers Centre.

Cody Ross and Jeremy Hermida belted two-run homers for the Marlins. Sean West allowed four hits and four runs over 5 2-3 innings to earn the victory.

Alex Rodriguez went 4-for-4 at the plate with a two-run homer for the Blue Jays. Casey Janssen was rocked for eight hits and five runs over 3 2-3 innings to suffer the loss.
