A's continue hot play with win over Tribe

The Oakland Athletics are rolling in September, picking up another win with an 8-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians in Game 2 of their weekend series at Oakland-Alameda County Stadium.

Oakland won as a -116 home favorite while the final score played over the 9-run total.

The A's got a big day from DH Nomar Garciaparra and SS Cliff Pennington, who each had two RBIs. Starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez struggled early, turning the ball over to the bullpen in the fourth inning. Reliever Brad Kilby earned the win.

The Indians got just one inning out of starter Jeremy Sowers, who allowed six runs on nine hits including a home run.
