Nationals avoid sweep by Red Sox
The Washington Nationals scored four runs in the first inning and went on to defeat the Boston Red Sox 9-3 Thursday night at Nationals Park.
Washington won the game as +110 underdogs, while the 12 runs made it OVER the posted over/under (9).
Willie Harris belted a two-run homer and went 3-for-4 at the plate for the Nationals. Jordan Zimmermann allowed just five hits and one run over seven innings for the win.
Rocco Baldelli smacked a two-run homer for the Red Sox, while John Smoltz surrendered seven hits and five runs over five innings.
