Pirates edge Nationals
The Pittsburgh Pirates defeated Washington for the third straight game with a 2-1 victory over the Nationals Wednesday night.
Pittsburgh won the game as +115 underdogs, while the three runs went UNDER the posted over/under (9).
Freddy Sanchez scored the winning run off a wild pitch, and Jack Wilson drove in the other run for the Pirates. John Grabow got the win in relief, and Matt Capps collected his eighth save.
Nick Johnson drove in the only run for the Nationals, while Joel Hanrahan gave up the winning run and was tagged with the loss.
