Twins take opener from Indians
The Minnesota Twins snapped a two-game losing skid with a 5-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians in the opener of a three-game series at Jacobs Field.
Minnesota won the game as +135 underdogs, while the six runs fell UNDER the posted over/under (10).
Justin Morneau homered and drove in two runs to lead the Twins. Nick Blackburn threw seven innings for the win, allowing six hits and one run.
Grady Sizemore had two hits and drove in the only run for the Indians. Fausto Carmona gave up eight hits off five runs over six innings in the loss.
