Slowey, Twins shut down Indians

Kevin Slowey whiffed seven batters and allowed eight hits in eight solid innings Saturday, as the Minnesota Twins defeated the Cleveland Indians 7-1 at Jacobs Field.

Minnesota won the game as +115 underdogs, but the eight runs went UNDER the posted over/under (10.5).

Jason Kubel had three hits, including two solo home runs for the Twins. Joe Crede also went deep in the win.

Carl Pavano gave up 11 hits and five runs over five innings in the loss.
