Indians stop A’s

Ben Francisco belted a two-run homer in a three-run third inning as the Cleveland Indians defeated the Oakland A’s 5-2 Saturday night at Progressive Field.

Grady Sizemore homered and drove in two runs for the Indians. Carl Pavano tossed 6 2-3 innings for the win, giving up just two runs off eight hits.

Orlando Cabrera went 3-for-4 at the plate with one RBI for the A’s. Vin Mazzaro gave up 10 hits and five runs over six innings in the loss.
