Cards outlast Mets in 13
Albert Pujols singled in the winning run Wednesday, as the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the New York Mets 8-7.
The Cardinals won the game as +131 underdogs, while the 15 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (6.5) set by sportsbooks.
Matt Holliday hit a two-run dinger and drove in three runs for the Cardinals. Mike MacDougal tossed the win, and Ryan Franklin closed the ninth for his 19th save of the season.
Pedro Feliciano gave up the winning run in the 13th inning and was saddled with the loss.
