Angels cut Yankees lead

The LA Angels avoided elimination with a 7-6 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 5 Thursday night in the ALCS.

LA won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the 13 runs sailed OVER the posted over/under (8.5).

Vladimir Guerrero went 2-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs for the Angels. Kevin Jepsen picked up the win in relief, and Brian Fuentes closed out the game for his first save of the postseason.

Mark Teixeira had two hits and drove in three runs for the Yankees. Phil Hughes gave up the winning run and took the loss in relief.
