Cardinals ground Blue Jays
Matt Holliday’s ninth-inning single lifted the St. Louis Cardinals to a 1-0 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays Wednesday at Rogers Centre.
The Cardinals won the game as a -110 pick’em, while the teams played UNDER the posted over/under (7.5) set by sportsbooks.
Chris Carpenter tossed a three-hit shutout through eight innings for the win, and Ryan Franklin closed out the ninth for his 14th save.
Kevin Gregg gave up the winning run in relief and was tagged with the loss.
