Buchholz, Red Sox edge Blue Jays

Clay Buchholz gave up one run over eight innings to get the win, as the Boston Red Sox nipped the Toronto Blue Jays 2-1 on Tuesday night.

Boston cashed as +105 road underdogs, while the teams played UNDER the 8.5-run total set by oddsmakers.

Mike Lowell's pinch-hit, bases-loaded walk in the top of the eighth broke a 1-1 tie, as Jeremy Hermida also had a run batted in for the Red Sox.

Vernon Wells went 2-for-4 with an RBI for Toronto, while Scott Downs took the loss in relief of Shaun Marcum for the Blue Jays.
