Zimmerman, Nationals trim Padres

Ryan Zimmerman's walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning lifted the Washington Nationals over the San Diego Padres 6-5 on Tuesday night.

Washington cashed as +105 home underdogs, while the teams played OVER the 8.5-run total listed by oddsmakers.

Zimmerman finished 3-for-4 with two big flies for the Nationals, as Matt Capps picked up the win in relief of Livan Hernandez for Washington.

Adrian Gonzalez and Scott Hairston both went 2-for-4 with a run batted in for San Diego, while Luke Gregerson took the loss after allowing Zimmerman's shot in the bottom of the ninth.
