Mets beat Braves

The New York Mets got some great work from their bullpen to hold off the Atlanta Braves for a 3-1 at Citi Field Saturday.

New York won as a +122 home underdog while the final score played UNDER the 8.5-run total.

Mets starter Jonathon Niese went just over five innings, giving up one run on five hits while striking out six batters. New York turned to its bullpen for the remainder of the game, using four different pitchers including Manny Acosta, who was credited with the win. At the plate, outfielder Jason Bay went 3-for-4 with an RBI.

The Braves scored their lone run on an RBI single from catcher David Ross. Starting pitcher Jair Jurrjens went just under seven innings, allowing three runs on four hits while striking out three and walking four batters.
