Stamps spoil Lions plans

The Calgary Stampeders defeated the BC Lions 41-30 in their regular-season finale Saturday night at McMahon Stadium, forcing the Lions to start the playoffs on the road.

Calgary won the game as a 4-point underdog, while the 71 points sailed OVER the posted total of 55.

Barrick Nealy carried the ball three times into the end zone to lift the Stampeders, and Henry Burris threw for 165 yards with a touchdown in the win.

Buck Pierce completed 26-of-42 for 346 yards and three touchdowns in a losing effort for the Lions.
