Seattle Defeats San Antonio 72-71 - Recap
Tina Thompson scored 27 points and chipped in with 13 rebounds for Seattle on Tuesday, leading the Storm to a 72-71 victory over San Antonio at AT&T Center.
Seattle did not, however, defeat the Silver Stars against the spread, which closed at 1.5 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 137.5.
Camille Little had 14 points for Seattle and Tanisha Wright chipped in with 11 points. Tanisha Wright had 7 assists for the Storm, while Tina Thompson was the team's top rebounder, grabbing 13 boards.
The Silver Stars got a 17-point performance from Jia Perkins, who was supported by 16 points from Shenise Johnson. Davellyn Whyte had 4 assists in a losing cause for San Antonio, while Shenise Johnson grabbed 6 rebounds.
Seattle won the battle of the boards, outrebounding their counterparts 33-25.
Seattle looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Sun. The Silver Stars will aim to get back on the winning track at Tulsa.
