LaMarcus Aldridge scored 25 points and added 16 rebounds for a double-double, leading Portland over Atlanta, 100-85, on Thursday at Philips Arena.
The Trail Blazers were a 5-point favorite in the win, and managed to turn a profit for their supporters. The combined score dipped UNDER the total, which closed at 207.5.
Portland got 21 points from Damian Lillard and another 12 points from Nicolas Batum. Mo Williams contributed 11 assists, while LaMarcus Aldridge cleaned the glass with 16 rebounds.
The Hawks got a 22-point performance from Jeff Teague, who was supported by 16 points from Lou Williams. Shelvin Mack had 4 assists in a losing cause for Atlanta, while Elton Brand grabbed 12 rebounds.
The Trail Blazers hit the break leading 53-37 before taking care of business in the second half.
Portland had a 47-39 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Portland looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against the Bulls. The Hawks will aim to get back on the winning track at Washington.
