Blue Bombers upset Stampeders
A late interception returned for a touchdown helped the Winnipeg Blue Bombers seal a 42-24 victory over the winless Grey Cup champion Calgary Stampeders Friday night.
Winnipeg won the game as a 6.5-point underdog, while the combined 66 points sailed OVER the posted total of 53.
Stefon Lefors threw two TD passes for the Blue Bombers, while Lavarus Giles ran for a pair of touchdowns. Terrence Edwards three passes for 40 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Henry Burris threw for 247 yards, while getting intercepted three times in the Stampeders second straight loss.
