Burris leads Stamps over Lions

Henry Burris ran for a touchdown and threw another two into the end zone Thursday, as the Calgary Stampeders defeated the British Columbia Lions 28-18 in their season-opener at McMahon Stadium.

Calgary won the game as 3-point underdogs, while the combined 46 points fell UNDER the posted total of 55.

Burris completed 22-of-33 passes for 274 yards, while Ken-Yon Rambo and Chris Jackson ran for a TD each in the win.

Geroy Simon and Cory Rodgers scored the touchdowns for the Lions.
