Anthony Calvillo threw for 255 yards in leading the Montreal Alouettes to a 40-27 season-opening victory over the Calgary Stampeders Wednesday night at McMahon Stadium.
Montreal won the game as an 8-point underdog, and the 67 points sailed OVER the posted total of 52.5.
Calvillo completed 24-of-32 pass attempts with one touchdown strike, and Avon Cobourne had 107 yards rushing with one TD in the win.
Henry Burris threw for 247 yards and one touchdown in a losing effort for the Stampeders.
