Indianapolis vs Tampa Bay Wrap - Tampa Bay Wins 24-17
The Colts had no answer for LeGarrette Blount on Monday as the Buccaneers rolled to a 24-17 win at Raymond James Stadium.
Tampa Bay did not, however, defeat the Colts against the spread, which closed at 10 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 40.5.
Josh Freeman completed 25 of 39 pass attempts for 287 yards and 1 TD for the Buccaneers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Joseph Addai rushed for 41 yards for Indianapolis, while Delone Carter added 21 yards. Curtis Painter threw for 281 yards for the Colts, while receivers Pierre Garcon and Reggie Wayne had 146 and 59 yards respectively.
Indianapolis lost the offensive yardage battle to Tampa Bay 466-318 yards in Monday's game. Tampa Bay had more first downs as that total ended up 25-13.
Indianapolis lost the time of possession battle 39:00/21:00, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
Next game, Tampa Bay takes its act on the road to face San Francisco looking for another win. For Indianapolis, they head home to face Kansas City.
