Los Angeles got 26 points from J.J. Redick and another 23 points from Chris Paul. Chris Paul contributed 17 assists, while DeAndre Jordan cleaned the glass with 9 rebounds.
The Rockets got a 19-point performance from Omri Casspi, who was supported by 15 points from James Harden. Jeremy Lin had 8 assists in a losing cause for Houston, while Dwight Howard grabbed 9 rebounds.
Los Angeles led at halftime, 78-66.
Houston had a 46-38 advantage in the rebounding department as they won the battle in the paint.
Los Angeles heads into a battle against the Magic. Houston, meanwhile, will have their next action against Portland.
