The battle between the Golden Hurricane and Green Wave didn’t turn out to be much of a battle at all as Tulane was handed a 31-3 defeat on Saturday at Louisiana Superdome.
Tulsa was the ATS victor, as they covered the 13-point spread as a favorite. Over-Under bettors who played UNDER the total of 64.5 were rewarded at the payout window.
G.J. Kinne completed 21 of 29 pass attempts for 241 yards for the Golden Hurricane in the win. He was picked off 1 time by the Green Wave defense.
Orleans Darkwa rushed for 53 yards for Tulane, while Robert Kelley added 13 yards. Ryan Griffin threw for 170 yards for the Green Wave, while receivers Matt Marfisi and Albert Williams had 40 and 27 yards respectively.
Tulane lost the offensive yardage battle to Tulsa 412-235 yards in Saturday's game. Tulsa had more first downs as that total ended up 19-15.
The time of possession battle favored Tulane as their offense was on the field for 34:14, longer than the 25:46 of their opponents.
