BYU Defeats San Jose State 29-16 - Recap
The Spartans came up short against the Cougars in Week 6 action on Saturday, falling 29-16 at LaVell Edwards Stadium.

Tyler Ervin rushed for 40 yards for San Jose State, while Jason Simpson added 39 yards. Matt Faulkner threw for 255 yards for the Spartans, while receivers Ryan Otten and Noel Grigsby had 108 and 88 yards respectively.
San Jose State lost the offensive yardage battle to BYU 443-325 yards in Saturday's game. BYU had more first downs as that total ended up 25-18.
San Jose State lost the time of possession battle 31:47/28:13, leaving their defense on the field more than they wanted.
BYU heads into a Week 7 battle against Oregon State. San Jose State, meanwhile, will have their next action against Hawaii.
