Nebraska Defeats Wisconsin 30-27 - Recap
Taylor Martinez ran for 107 yards as Nebraska handled Wisconsin by a score of 30-27 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Nebraska did not, however, defeat the Badgers against the spread, which closed at 12 at most sportsbooks. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 52.5.
Taylor Martinez completed 17 of 29 pass attempts for 181 yards for the Cornhuskers in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Montee Ball rushed for 90 yards for Wisconsin, while Melvin Gordon added 5 yards. Joel Stave threw for 214 yards for the Badgers, while receivers Jared Abbrederis and Chase Hammond had 142 and 30 yards respectively.
Wisconsin was outgained by Nebraska 440-295 yards in Saturday's match, while the important battle of first downs was won 24-17 by the Cornhuskers.
The time of possession battle favored Nebraska as their offense was on the field for 31:00, longer than the 29:00 of their opponents.
Nebraska heads into a Week 6 battle against Ohio State. Wisconsin, meanwhile, will have their next action against Illinois.
