Recap - Gators Defeat Tennessee 37-20
Mike Gillislee scampered through the Tennessee defense for 115 yards as Florida handed the Volunteers a 37-20 defeat on Saturday at Neyland Stadium.
Florida won and also put money in the pockets of their supporters by covering the 3-point spread as underdogs. Totals bettors, meanwhile, saw the game go OVER the closing number of 47.5.
Jeff Driskel completed 14 of 20 pass attempts for 219 yards for the Gators in the win. He did not throw an interception in the game.
Rajion Neal rushed for 87 yards for Tennessee, while A.J. Johnson added 5 yards. Tyler Bray threw for 257 yards for the Volunteers, while receivers Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson had 76 and 75 yards respectively.
Tennessee lost the offensive yardage battle to Florida 555-340 yards in Saturday's game. Florida had more first downs as that total ended up 20-19.
The time of possession battle favored Florida as their offense was on the field for 33:13, longer than the 26:47 of their opponents.
Florida heads into a Week 4 battle against Kentucky. Tennessee, meanwhile, will have their next action against Akron.
