Wisconsin hangs on to beat Fresno State
Wisconsin safety Chris Maragos came up with an interception in the second overtime, and Philip Welch kicked a 22-yard field goal to give the Badgers a 34-31 victory over the Fresno State Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.
The Badgers failed to cover the 7.5-point spread, while the final score played OVER the day's posted total of 52.
John Clay rushed for 143 yards and one touchdown for the Badgers.
Ryan Colburn threw for 289 yards and four touchdown passes but also had three interceptions.
