Arizona vs Southern Cal Recap - Trojans Win 48-41
Matt Barkley sliced and diced the Wildcats defense for 468 yards as Southern Cal handed Arizona a 48-41 defeat on Saturday at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
The Trojans earned a straight-up victory but suffered an ATS defeat in failing to cover the 12.5-point spread. Over-Under bettors who played OVER the total of 57.5 were rewarded with a winning wager.
Curtis McNeal rushed for 74 yards, while Marc Tyler added 35 yards in the win. Robert Woods and Marqise Lee added 255 and 144 receiving yards respectively.
Keola Antolin rushed for 87 yards for Arizona, while Ka'Deem Carey added 34 yards. Nick Foles threw for 425 yards for the Wildcats, while receivers Dan Buckner and Austin Hill had 88 and 57 yards respectively.
Arizona lost the offensive yardage battle to Southern Cal 582-554 yards in Saturday's game. Arizona had more first downs as that total ended up 37-26.
The time of possession battle favored Arizona as their offense was on the field for 33:50, longer than the 26:10 of their opponents.
Southern Cal looks to continue their winning ways next game with a battle against California. Arizona will aim to get back on the winning track at Oregon State.
